These alloys contain chromium, varying from 9% to 16% with carbon levels ranging from 0.03% to 0.5%. The microstructure is mostly martensitic with small amounts of delta ferrite and retained austenite, depending on the overall chemistry and welding conditions. The filler materials are designed for various applications and the properties are enhanced by additions of nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, cobalt and other grain refining elements.
